My first time cooking onion soup was quit the experience. I've always been a fan of onions and their health benefits, however I have never made onion soup before.

To be honest, I hardly cooked at all. Most of the time my mother  cooks for me. She usually makes Chinese food and Indian food. Naturally, onion soup wasn't really high on her cooking list.

So I gave it a try. Note that I didn't make French onion soup. The cheese isn't really paleo, and the bread or croutons that you put in definitely are not paleo. But nonetheless, it's still very tasty. I needed a way to make my onion soup paleo so I couldn't make French onion soup.

So I checked around for some good soup cookbooks and I found a one specifically for the primal diet. It was a large book filled with massive amounts of pictures. I like pictures a lot because it tells a story. You heard of the saying a picture says 1000 words? I totally believe that. Every time I see a new picture I think to myself, what is the story telling here? And I can come up with an unlimited amount it seems.

check out this Youtube video on paleo  stuff. its pretty awesome.

So I find this Onion soup recipe and it looks gorgeous. I check the ingredients and there are just a few on there. Even better since I'm a horrible cook.

I follow the instructions carefully even though the are simple and hard to mess up. Remember this is my first time cooking paleo soup.

After about an hour I have my favorite soup in the world. My first spoonful was more than delicious. It was miraculous. It was heaven on a spoon. The Matrix couldn't even bend it.

Alas, I thank my cook book for helping me make the best out of my meal.
